Chili Cook-Off
Join us on Saturday, February 11th, 2012 for our annual "Chili Cook-Off" from 5pm - 7pm.
New Life UMC Preschool is in ministry to the families of New Life United Methodist Church and families in the community. Our goal is to provide quality childhood education to all families in the community.
One way we are able to do this is to offer scholarships to those families who are struggling during these tough economic times. Each year we exhaust our scholarship funds and now have a great need to grow this fund again. Therefore, most proceeds from the Chili Cook-Off will go directly into the Scholarship Fund.
Here is how you can help:
- Each family sells tickets to the event. Tickets are $10 per person (Middle School - Adult), $5 per person (Elementary Age Children) and $1 per person (New Life Preschool Children). A meal ticket includes: a chance to taste all chili recipes (and vote on the People's Choice Award), a bowl of tasty chili, corn muffin, cookie, drink and entertainment by "The Puppet Neighborhood". We will also have a Scholastic Book Fair set up.
- Consider entering a crockpot of chili in the competition. Entry fees are $10 and this includes (1) adult meal ticket.
- Sign up to donate (2) dozen corn muffins.
- Sign up to donate (2) dozen cookies.
- Sign up for the set-up crew.
- Sign up for the clean-up crew.
This is going to be a great evening. Invite your friends!! Dinner and Show for one low price! There is a buttered noodle option for children that don't eat chili.
