Since we didn't have much to say last night, let us catch you up..... Yesterday we spent most of the day painting (again) and reparing the roof and the laundry room. Becky was thrilled and amazed that we finsihed the entire residence hall, including adding some blue trim!!! Once that task was completed, we moved onto another building, before the rain started to roll in. At lunch we were serenaded by Sylvestre and the receptionist,Charlie. They played guitars and sang Spanish songs while we ate more of Emma's fabulous cooking.
Later in the evening, after devotions, we went out to dinner at an authentic Costa Rican Restaurant! We enjoyed some of the local traditions, including music, marching band, and the "Dance of the Masks"..... Stay tuned for pictures of Mike being tempted by the devil upon our return. When we finally got back to the rooms, we fell into bed, as the long days had caught up with us.
Today was pretty much a day of rest, as well as reflection on our week. We completed work on Emma's food cart... painting (of course!) and gave it some new wheels. We had a professor from Switzerland join us for lunch, and share his journey to UBL by way of Malasia. Like all of our other guests, he too had an interesting story to share. We had a long devotional and praise and worship time with Becky and then had time to "debrief" and re-cap the many experiences we shared during the week.
Tomorrow we will begin our long trip back home...thank you all for your prayers during the week... they have really sustained us......pray for safe travels!!!! We'll see you soon! (:
