Is it safe to give online?
Yes. New Life is using PayPal for online giving. PayPal is a global leader in online payment solutions with more than 75 million active accounts worldwide. PayPal has received more than 20 awards for excellence from the internet industry and the business community. Located in San Jose, California, PayPal was founded in 1998.
What types of accounts can I give from?
PayPal allows members to send money without sharing financial information and the flexibility to pay using their PayPal account balances, bank accounts or debit/credit cards.
Are there any fees involved?
The user does not pay any fees with online giving. New Life does incur minimal transaction fees of 3% or less when receiving online donations.
Can I make a one-time contribution?
Yes. You can either make a one-time contribution or set up a recurring contribution that is automatically submitted for you on a scheduled interval.
What are my frequency options for a recurring gift?
For recurring gifts, you will have the option of giving weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
Can I designate my gift to a particular fund?
Yes. You can specify your gift to go toward the General Fund - Mission and Ministry or the Building Fund - Reaching Beyond Ourselves.
How do I participate in the offering if my contribution is done online?
If you wish, you may use preprinted giving cards that are available in the Narthex. These cards are not required and are available as a convenience.
How do I cancel a recurring payment, subscription, or automatic billing agreement I have with a merchant?
This can only be done from your PayPal account. Follow these steps at PayPal.com.
- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Click Profile at the top of the page.
- Click My Preapproved Payments in the Financial Information column.
- Click View the Agreement next to the merchant agreement you want to cancel.
- Click Cancel or Cancel automatic billing and follow the instructions.
