Mike Maxwell

Pastor

Mike has been blessed to be a pastor for over 20 years.  After serving churches in Kentucky, Lynchburg and Northern Virginia, Mike and his family have returned to their hometown of Richmond.

A graduate of Monacan High School and James Madison University, Mike went on to graduate from Asbury Theological Seminary in Kentucky.

He is married to his college sweetheart, Maria, and they have two children, Benjamin and Zoe.

Mike's favorite pastimes include watching or playing all sports, home projects, spy movies, reading and hanging out with his family.

 

Becky Daniel

Office Administrator

Becky is a lifelong resident of Chesterfield County. She graduated from Meadowbrook High School and the Medical College of Virginia (now VCU) with a degree in Health Information Management. She has spent the last 30 years working in healthcare. She currently works Saturdays at the River Street Farmers Market. She and her husband own a kettle treats business. She attends Chesterfield Baptist Church.

She loves spending time with her husband, Tony, as well as with their six nieces and nephews. She enjoys going to the beach, fishing, and being outdoors.

 

Kelley Price

Finance Administrator

Kelley is analytical, detailed and well organized. She has extensive finance and accounting skills. In addition to working at companies such as Ford, Northwest Airlines and Best Buy, in her latest financial position, Kelley served as a senior treasury analyst in Wisconsin.

She is an active member of Woodlake United Methodist Church where she has served as a receptionist, usher, record keeper for a New Level Innovations initiative, small group leader for middle schoolers and co-chair for a Hospitality Committee. Her husband Steve serves on staff at Woodlake UMC as the NextGen Middle School Director and their two grown children are Ally and Jake. In her free time, Kelley enjoys football, baseball and serving at the Belmont Food Pantry.

 

Rebecca Mabe

Discipleship Director

Rebecca has enjoyed serving the local church for over 13 years.  After spending 15 years in Alabama, she moved to Virginia with her husband, Jason, and daughter, Jailyn.   Her greatest passion is to help others learn to see themselves through the eyes of Jesus.  She loves spending time with her family, spending time in God's creation, and attending Christian Worship Events and Conferences.

 

Juliana Paradie

Youth Director

Juliana Paradie was born in Ukraine and speaks fluent Ukrainian. When she was 10, her family moved to Ohio. She ended up attending Central Bible College in Missouri and graduated from Evangel University with Bachelor’s in Business Management and Minor in Youth Ministry. Her stops in life included living in Florida, New York, California and Utah, where she worked for Teen Challenge and Youth Challenge. 

She and her husband, Corey, have 2 beautiful kids, Julius and Alexandria. God called their family to Chesterfield 3 years ago, where Juliana ended up leading Youth Ministry and serving in the Children’s Ministry in their local church.

Juliana has a passion to serve, coach and develop young people to bring them closer to Christ. She enjoys traveling, going to the beach and playing sports.

 

Marybeth Essex

Preschool Director

Marybeth has been an educator for over twenty years, teaching preschool - high school.  Growing up in Northern Virginia, she then attended and graduated from James Madison University with a degree in English and Education.

She and her husband, Jay, have two wonderful teenagers, Megan and Sam, who keep them on the go with baseball and horseback riding. Marybeth enjoys: hiking, spending time at the beach, and traveling. 

 

Isabelle Sullivan

Family Ministries Director

Born in Washington, D.C. to immigrant parents, Isabelle made her way down to Richmond by attending Virginia Commonwealth University and graduating with a Master's Degree in Education.

She is married to her college sweetheart, Joe, and together they have two wonderful daughters, Gabby and Melina.

In addition to speaking fluent fFrench, she enjoys scrap-booking, the beach and animals.

 

Victor Neal

Worship Leader

Victor, a Chesapeake native, has been blessed to serve as a Worship Leader for over 6 years.  As he grew up in the church, he started leading worship in his youth group as a teenager.

He loves to spend time with his wonderful wife, Erin, and three kids, Brady, Milo and Vivianne.  Victor also enjoys playing the guitar, singing, listening to music, reading and going to the movies.

 

Lynn Madden

COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

Lynn Madden has worked in church communications for over 17 years in the Richmond area. Lynn loves spending time with her husband, Jason and kids, Sophia & Micah. She loves to help in ministry projects in the background to serve God in our community.
